![]() ![]() ![]() The difference in performance is actually crazy!! I threw in some mod combinations along with vanilla minecraft. I had the same exact minecraft installation on both operating systems and stood in the same exact place. I froze the time on a world and set the world to peaceful. I then headed off to take compare the FPS between Minecraft and windows. This is a widely reported issue with the newer AMD drivers on Windows, and to my best investigation it looks to not be the fault of Sodium but rather a driver issue. This is not normal and the developer of the mod knows about this issue and says Its not until you drop to open gl 3.0 that these glitches go away. Unfortanately when I tried it, there are horrible glitches that show up when using openGL 4.3 ( the one that is meant to give a decent performance boost ). So a few days ago I came across a post on r/Minecraft ( Link) where a user showed off a mod that seems to boost fps. Recently I have been having issues with a mod that is meant to improve performance and I've heard that the performance on linux is way better than windows so I decided to try it out and benchmark the results. ![]()
